Thank you so much for your prayers. She does not have to go back until 2-3 months. Pray that the side affects from the medicine die down. They mostly affect her in the morning and in the evening. God is so faithful.

I want to thank everyone for all your prayers and gifts of love. The gift certificates were great adn all the thoughtful things that came along with them. You will all never know how much this helped and been appreciated in my family. I was so overwhelmed and so was my husband. I could never thank you enough with words, but I know God is going to bless you all for the unseen things you have done and what you have shown your friend in Christ. Thank you all again and know that you are always thought of and We love you all. Thanks, Tyler, Shanda, Mackenzie, Rebecca and Joseph.

We just found out today that my husbands job is in jeapordy. His boss just resigned and because of certain issues the company is dealing with nation wide, Mitch is in a dangerous position. Please pray for Mitch and I to have peace and that we will faithfully trust God to guide our steps without questioning Him. He has provided ALWAYS for us and I am going to try REALLY hard to not fear and know He is with us as always! Thanks!
I grew up in Kenya and so this email I received from some friends talks about the troubles there and it just breaks my heart. PLEASE pray for Kenya. The news is just not giving enough attention to it. Please pray for safety to our fellow Christian national brothers and sisters over there as well as the missionaries there. Many people have been slaughtered with mischeti's, burned alive...one story of a Kenya Assemblies of God church had about 80 people hiding there when it was set on fire. A little baby girl managed to crawl out of a window where she was thrown back in to die with everyone else. We know and love many people there. Here is the most up to date info on the condition of Kenya since the elections...
Hello from Kenya. Generally things are quieter over most of Kenya this past weekend. However, fighting, killing and burning of property has escalated in Kisii and Kericho areas following the murder of an MP from that area. That was the second opposition MP to be murdered in 3 days.
In Kibera, there has been little violence in the last few days with only a few gunshots being heard today. However, the people are suffering - mostly from hunger. Water is mostly available and many displaced are staying in churches or with neighbours. Raping of women, girls and boys is common place at night.
There is a shortage of casual jobs for the men - even before the election there was a 50% unemployment rate in Kibera. Red Cross have stopped feeding in Kibera and the groups that are continuing to give out food cannot cope with the need. I can foresee that food security would be a major problem in the next few months. (Parts of the country are in drought and where there is food, the farmers cannot take their produce to market because of the insecurity).
Women doing business in Kibera are not stocking foodstuffs for fear of looting. Prices have increased from 10-50% depending on the commodity.
Our approach over the last week has been to search out and target those who are in greater need like those with HIV, orphan children and the elderly.(There is a low percentage of elderly in the slum and most live in their ancestral home areas) We have also done a survey of the food and fuel costs. What I see as exciting is that when people do get food they share it with their neighbours and friends who are without food. One of the NGOs is embarking on a 'Food for Work' project which looks promising.
The churches are joining to fast and pray for the country and we believe that God for sure will work everything for good - it just might not have been our way. I believe that much of the problem is spiritual - God wants to raise up a standard of righteousness here - it should have already been here as near 80% have claimed to be Christian - so why is there so much corruption?
May God bless you as you pray with us for our 'beloved country.'
Sharon & Thomas were in a car accident on February 14th. They walked away from the accident with major bruising and whiplash. Please pray for quick recovery and peace!

Abby was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. This is a blood disorder that affects the white blood cells & causes them to attack healthy tissue & bone instead of infection. It is extremely rare, with less than 10 in 1 million cases being diagnosed every year.
