I find that so many families are so busy with their personal schedules that they often miss the wonderful things that Birmingham offers! Another reminder about the Asbury Church picnic and movie tomorrow Friday, Aug. 8 at the Asbury Athletic fields. The picnic is from 6-7 and the movie "Facing the Giants" begins at 7:30. THIS IS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY, SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COME. If you can not attend for the entire event, feel free to come when you can. If there is a rain shower in the making--the picnic will be moved inside to the gym at Asbury.

Fresh Air Family Thursday Hike with Wild South
Moulton, Alabama
Caravan time: 8:30AM CST
All Day Program
This is a reoccurring monthly hike into the Bankhead National Forest/Sipsey Wilderness. Every third Thursday we will meet Janice Barrett at the Warrior Mountain Trading Company at 10:30AM for a hike no longer than 3 miles. Bring a sack lunch and plenty of water. We will return to the Warrior Mountain Company by 3:30 or 4:00PM. Due to the sensitivity of the area, this hike will be limited to 20 children, plus parents.
Meet: at Hobby Lobby in Gardendale at 8:30AM ( 655 Fieldstown Rd. ) Exit 271 onto I-65 North.
Directions: Take I-65 north to Cullman. Exit onto Highway 157 (Exit #310) and head toward Moulton. Drive about 20 miles and turn Left onto Highway 36.
Go about 10 miles to the end of 36, where it intersects Highway 33. Warrior Mountains Trading Company will be on your Right. In fact, turn into the parking lot before you actually get to the traffic light. This is the community of Wren.
